2018 Legislative Day

Members of the NJLTA attended the December 6, 2018 Legislative Day at the New Jersey State House.  In attendance from the NJLTA were Russ Aquino, Lawrence Bell, Lydia Bell, CTP, Patrick Brennan, John Cannito, CTP, Arnaldo Cruz, Jonathan Friedman, Chris Eler, Dave Ewan, Larry Fineberg, CTP, Joe Grabas, CTP, NTP, Amy Holder, CTP, Kimberly Kline, Clyde Kopchak, Dawn Lagwoski, David Penque, George Stickel, Terry Swope, CTP, Brian Teel, Larry Usignol, CTP, Sara Valenz, Peter Wall and Rick Wilson, CTP.  Ed Eastman and Louise Haas were also present.  Roger Bodman, Bill Maer and Patrick Stewart of PSI were also in attendance.

Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco stopped by to speak.   Two staff members also stopped by for a brief description of their respective jobs as well as a Q & A.  They were Christopher Emigholz, of the Senate Republican's Office as well as Fruquan Mouzon, of the Senate Democrat's office.   Justin Braz of the Office of the Governor also stopped in to talk about what his job entails and to answer any questions that were raised, as well as Bob Gerringer of the Governor's Counsel Office who talked briefly about the process his office goes through regarding the passage of Bills.

Christopher Emigholz discussed the mission of the Economic and Fiscal Policy Workgroup who was charged to identify ways to address soaring pension and benefit costs, to hold down property taxes and make state and local government and school districts more efficent, among other issues.
