Welcome to the Agency Section of the New Jersey Land Title Association. The Section consists of independent title insurance agents throughout the State. The aim of the Agency Section is to promote professionalism within the industry via:

• Adoption of Common Standards
  
• Educational Seminars and Presentations
  
• Legislative Involvement
  
• Sharing of Ideas and Practices
  
• Assisting the consumer in making educated choices

The Agency Section, along with the Underwriters' Section of the New Jersey Land Title Association, provides various forums to reach its members and the general public.

Special Notification: Assembly Bill 2506 passed both houses of the legislature and was signed into law on July 1, by the Governor. Section 48 of PL2002, c34 provides for Notary Fees. Under the new legislation which is effective 7/1/02, the fee for acknowledging for a grantor is $15. The fee for all acknowledgments for a mortgage closing is $25.00.
